This traditional large cold frame is designed to protect your plants from the elements making it ideal for over-wintering and bringing on young plants in the Spring. The strong architectural aluminium framework is designed to fix to a wall or a sturdy fence, and the unique sliding door system provides easy access and gentle ventilation without the need for hinged doors that flap and get damaged in the wind.
The toughened safety glass is designed to withstand storm force winds and heavy snow, whilst allowing plenty of light into the frame. Four adjustable seed tray shelves provide additional growing space. Constructed of slim, strong aluminium tubes, they ensure that shadowing is kept to a minimum - deep shelves with thick slats cause dark spots in traditional Cold Frames. In Summer the shelves can either be dropped flat against the back wall or removed to allow room for crops such as courgettes, peppers and tomatoes.
